Growing Leaders
If there is one thing that warms the hearts most for our program staff its seeing a young person begin to not only live out their faith but leading others to Christ as well. We are seeing young people serving along side our full-time program staff, going on missions trips, attending Christian colleges, and serving in full-time Christian work. This is the kind of fruit we hope and pray for each of the kids we serve.
Leadership development is an exciting program which provides young people with the skills and resources they need to become responsible members of society. This program includes: paid part-time internships, college scholarships, and leadership training for adults who become part of Inner City Impact's full-time staff.
We have found that those who have "grown up" through the ministry can be the most effective in reaching out to the youth. Developing leaders means training them to teach spiritual principles clearly and creatively, as well as role modeling the Christian life for the younger children.

Carlos Hernandez
Carlos attend Moody Bible Institute and then transferred to Miami Christian College, where he was the first Hispanic president of the student body. Carlos is married and has a family and has his own ServiceMaster Franchise.
